The N+ has a LOT of old material. I didn't write any questions that we didn't cover in class.
I didn't use any questions about support.
I didn't use any questions about operating systems other than commands we discussed in class or did in labs.
I didn't write any questions about protocols we didn't discuss.
I didn't write any questions about cabling we didn't discuss (e.g. MAUS and things like that).
I did write questions about things from the slides.
I did write questions about subnets.
I did write questions about hex.
Use the N+ exam as a guide to study but skip questions that are dated or that we didn't discuss. I think the N+ exam has been updated since this book came out so if you want to take N+ check and make sure you have a current transcender. If you can score 80% on the N+ exams, you can very likely do really well on the final (although don't just memorize the questions since I didn't copy them word for word.)
