CIS 201: Lab 6

Ok, a real problem.

There is this long standing idea that you can win at roulette if you wait until you see three reds or three blacks and then bet the opposite.

A roulette wheel in the US has 36 numbers, a 0 and a 00 on it. 18 numbers are red, and 18 numbers are black (doesn't matter which ones). The 0 and 00 are green.

Test the theory that if you watch for spins of the wheel and you see three reds or three blacks then bet the opposite (red or black) 5$. These are 1 to 1 bets so you win 10 dollars essentially. If it comes 0 or 00. Then you lose.

So test it out. Run your simulation for 100,000 spins of the wheel with 30 times as a trial and see what happens. Is this is a good system?
