Course Objectives
Students shall understand the hardware and software components of a personal computer.
Students shall understand the difference in low, average, and high end computing systems.
Students shall understand cooling concepts for a variety of approaches.
Students shall understand the basic ideas of overclocking systems.
Students shall understand the basic ideas of troubleshooting hardware issues.
Students shall understand installation of Windows Operating Systems and basic software installs.
Students shall understand installation of Linux Operating Systems and basic concepts for Linux.
Students shall be able to configure basic switched networks using TCP/IP on both Windows and Linux Platforms.
Students shall understand basic software licensing issues and ethical practice for managing software.
Students shall understand basic email concepts and practice.
